Miss Angela Crone to Represent Bonney Lake High School as Daffodil Princess

On November 22nd Miss Angela Crone was selected to represent Bonney Lake High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Crone was one of nine candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Entertainment for the evening was provided by the Escorts of the Bonney Lake High School Princess Candidates who each answered an impromptu question. The Bonney Lake High School Chamber Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Amy Fuller, presented several musical selections for the audience’s enjoyment. Also presenting entertainment was the Mountain View Middle School Advanced Choir under the direction of Ms. Carrie Rice. 

Farewell remarks were made by 2011 Daffodil Princess Payton Jensen. A slide show of Photos, prepared by selection coordinator AnnMarie Casner, showing the Daffodil Festival throughout the past  79 years was also presented.

Miss Crone was crowned by Daffodil Princess Payton Jensen.

With the selection of the Bonney Lake Princess the 2012 Royal Court has been completed. The 2012 Court will participate in the annual Santa Parades that will be held on Saturday, December 3rd. The first public appearance in their gowns and official Daffodil Tiaras will be at the Princess Promenade which will be held on February 4th, 2012.  Prior to the Promenade the Court will undergo training to prepare them for public appearances. At the Promenade each of the ladies will be crowned with the official Daffodil Festival Tiara and their Official photographs will be taken with them wearing their Daffodil dresses.

Miss Madison Newberry to Represent Lakes High School as Daffodil Princess

On November 21st Miss Madison Newberry was selected to represent Lakes High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Newberry was one of ten candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Ray Kurtz. The Colors were presented by Lakes High School JROTC under the direction of Col. Gerald Rosenbaum.  Entertainment for the evening was provided by the Escorts of the Lakes High School Princess Candidates, who each answered an impromptu question. The Lakes Studio Choir presented several musical selections for the audience’s enjoyment; they were under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Keller.  Farewell remarks were made by 2011 Daffodil Princess Rio Marquez-Hammitt along with a slide show of the many activities that Princess Rio participated in during the year. The Tiara was presented to Ms Newberry by Princess Rio Marquez-Hammitt.

Miss Morgan Butler-Koler Selected Orting High School 2011 Daffodil Festival Princess

Miss Butler-Koler was one of ten candidates vying for the Daffodil Princess title. Each of the candidates gave a prepared speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival them "Don't Stop Believing". Following their speeches each candidate answered an impromptu question.

Prior to announcing the 2012 Daffodil Princess, Orting’s 2011 Daffodil Princess, Krista Nunnally, gave a farewell speech and talked about her year as Princess.  Master of Ceremonies for the selection program was Mr. Jeremy McNinch and entertainment for the evening was provided by Violinist Mr. James Scannell the OHS Choir and OHS Band. Following the program a reception was held for the candidates, their escorts, family and friends.

Miss Delaney Ferrell Selected Fife High School 2011 Daffodil Festival Princess

Miss Ferrell was one of five candidates vying for the Daffodil Princess title. Each of the candidates gave a prepared speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival them "Don't Stop Believing". Following their speeches each candidate answered an impromptu question.

Prior to the announcement of the new Princess Fife's 2011 Daffodil Princess, Whitney Franks, gave a farewell speech and talked about her year as Princess.  Mistress of Ceremonies for the selection program was Miss Julia Loeber and entertainment for the evening was provided by the FHS Jazz Choir. Following the program a reception was held for the candidates, their escorts, family and friends.

Miss Katey Della-Giustina Selected Emerald Ridge High School 2011 Daffodil Princess

On November 15th Miss Katey Della-Giustina was selected to represent Emerald Ridge High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Della-Giustina was one of nine candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing”.  Each of the candidates talked about their future plans and answered an impromptu question. 

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Steve Leifsen, assistant Principal of Emerald Ridge High School. The National Anthem was sung by the ERHS Chamber Singers and entertainment for the evening was provided by the Escorts of the ERHS Princess Candidates. The escorts also provided information about their future plans and answered impromptu questions. The ERHS Chamber Singers, under the direction of Mr. Kurt McKee, also presented several musical selections for the audience’s enjoyment. 

The 2011 ERHS Daffodil Princess, Alexandra Schuster, gave her farewell remarks prior to the announcement of the 2012 Princess. Presenting Miss Della-Giustina with her Tiara was Princess Schuster.  A reception was held following the selection program.

Miss Alisa Linke to Represent Bethel High School as Daffodil Princess

On November 10th Miss Alisa Linke was selected to represent Bethel High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Linke was one of three candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Toby Hanson. Entertainment for the evening was presented by the Small Ensembles group from the Bethel High School Band under the direction of John Wetherington, Director, Bethel High School Step Team. The group Crimson Haze preformed and Mr. Toby Hanson played the accordion for the selection program.

Farewell remarks from 2011 Daffodil Princess Marissa Jay were read by Trudy Booth, Bethel’s Daffodil Educator of the Year. A slide show prepared by 2011 Princess Marissa Jay was also shown.  Daffodil Festival President Susan McGuire presented Miss Linke with her Tiara.

Miss Megan McBarron to Represent White River High School as Daffodil Princess

On November 9th Miss Megan McBarron was selected to represent White River High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess, Miss McBarron’s escort for the evening was Kyle Durrant.  Miss McBarron presented a speech on the 2012 Daffodil Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Randy Wilson. Miss McBarron is the First Daffodil Festival Princess to represent White River High School and her community. Mr. Ryan Roulier Jr., President of the White River DECA, also gave a presentation of the club’s involvement in the building of the 2011 White River Daffodil Parade Float. Having a float in the 2011 Daffodil Parade made it possible for White River to become a part of the Daffodil Royalty Program. Presenting Miss McBarron with here Tiara was 2012 Daffodil President Susan McGuire.

Miss Emily Moffitt to Represent Graham Kapowsin High School as Daffodil Princess

On November 8th Miss Emily Moffitt was selected to represent Graham Kapowsin High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Moffitt was one of five candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess and each of the candidates gave a prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing”. Each candidate also answered two impromptu questions. 

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Ryan Morris. Entertainment for the event was provided by three members of the Graham Kapowsin choir, Kate Bargman, Robyn Vonsicard and Rachel Nabors under the direction of Choir Director Suzanne Green.

Prior to the announcement of the new Princess the audience heard a farewell speech from  2011 Daffodil Princess, Kori Hinkle, who was escorted to the stage by her father Mr. Clint Hinkle. Princess Hinkle also presented a slide show about her year as Daffodil Princess. Princess Hinkle also presented Miss Moffitt with her Tiara.

On November 7th Miss Jasmine Heindel was selected to represent Spanaway Lake High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Heindel was one of eight candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess and each of the candidates gave a prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing”. Each candidate also answered an impromptu question. 

Masters of ceremonies for the evening were Fallon Stanley and Amarachi Ejiawoko. The Colors were presented by Spanaway Lake’s NJROTC Color Guard. The National Anthem was sung by the Music Company. Entertainment for the event was provided by The Spanaway Lake Music Company under the direction of Mr. Bernard Crouse.

Prior to the selection of the new Princess 2011 Daffodil Princess, Sarah Brauneis, gave a farewell speech about her year as Daffodil Princess. Princess Brauneis also presented Miss. Heindel with her Tiara.

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Miss Hannah Parker 2006 Daffodil Princess from Henry Foss High School. Prelude music was provided by Henry Foss High School Orchestra under the direction of Andrea Bryant. The Colors were presented by the Henry Foss High School Color Guard AFJROTC under the direction of Major Philips.  Farewell remarks were made by 2011 Daffodil Princess Bianca Gonzaga. The Tiara was presented to Miss Karamoko by Princess Bianca Gonzaga and Henry Foss High School Principal Bonnie McGuire.

On November 2nd Miss Cinthia Vasquez was selected to represent Clover Park High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Vasquez was one of three candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Master of ceremonies for the evening was Miss Benita Prince. The Colors were presented by the Clover Park High School AJROTC Honor Guard and the National Anthem was sung by Ms. Prince. The Princess candidates were honored by the CPHS Saber Team as each was introduced.  

Entertainment for the evening was provided by the Clover Park Pacific Islander Poly Club.  Farewell remarks were made by 2011 Daffodil Princess Shawnice Davis. Princess Davis presented Miss Vasquez with her Tiara.

Master of ceremonies for the evening was 2010 Daffodil Princess Christine Smith. The Colors were presented by the Mt Tahoma JROTC and the National Anthem was sung by Deon Sasagi.  Princess Smith 2010 gave farewell remarks that she was unable to give at last year’s selection because of snowy weather and the postponement of the selection.  Farewell remarks were made by 2011 Daffodil Princess Charly Williams. The Tiara was presented to Miss Shaw by Princess Charly Williams.

On October 25th Miss Jordan Zuniga was selected to represent Rogers High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Zuniga was one of nine candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Farewell remarks from 2011 Daffodil Princess Sarah Piek were read by her Mother, Diana Piek, as Sarah is going to College at Azusa Pacific in California. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Guy Kovacs, Vice Principal of Rogers High School.  Entertainment was provided by Rogers High School Jazz Combo. Daffodil Festival President Susan McGuire presented Ms Zunga with her Tiara.

A reception for Princess Zunga, the candidates and their families and friends was held in the school library and hosted by the Daffodilians.

Entertainment was provided by Sumner High School Jazz Band under the Direction of Mr. Joe Karl and a presentation was also given by the ManeStage Singers. Princess Whitney Franks presented the Tiara to Miss Lange.

The Flags were presented by Lincoln High School JROTC Color Guard. Musical entertainment was provided by Kickin’ Brass Quintet under the direction of Peter Briggs. The Tiara was presented to Ms. Eslava by 2011 Princess Katie Smith.

Miss Alexandria Cole to Represent Chief Leschi High School as Daffodil Princess

On October 19th Miss Alexandria Cole was selected to represent Chief Leschi High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess, Miss Cole ‘s escort for the evening was Brian Castillo.  Miss Cole presented a speech on the 2012 Daffodil Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing”.  Master of ceremonies for the evening was Daylon Nelson. Chief Leschi 2011 Daffodil Princess Wynonna Swift presented a slide show and gave a speech about her year of adventures. Miss Cole was presented her tiara by Princess Swift.  Following the selection program a reception, hosted by Daffodilian Ron Simchen,  was held for the new Princess and guests.

Miss Eunice Kim to Represent Curtis High School as Daffodil Princess

On October 18th Miss Eunice Kim was selected to represent Curtis High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Kim was one of four candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

A slide show in photos of each Princess Candidate as they grew up was shown. Music for the Evening was provided by the Curtis High School Jazz Band under the Direction of Mr. Don Rose. Farewell remarks were given from 2011 Daffodil Queen Claire Flemming about her year serving as the Queen and representing Curtis High School. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Terry Jenks. Miss Megan Gimmestad to Represent Puyallup High School as Daffodil Princess

On October 13th Miss Megan Gimmestad was selected to represent Puyallup High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess.  Miss Gimmestad was one of eight candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Farewell remarks were given from 2011 Puyallup High School Daffodil Princess Monica Gallucci.  Masters of ceremonies for the Evening were Stacy Hurley, Ashley Hagstrom, Brittney Henry, Robyn Olson, Corin Vassey, and Danielle Henry all graduates of Puyallup High School. Entertainment was provided by Puyallup High School Dixieland Quintet, Miss Washington 2011 Brittney Henry and Ms. Danielle Henry. The Tiara was presented to Ms. Gimmestad by 2011 Daffodil Festival Princess Monica Gallucci.

Miss Nicole Aqua to Represent Wilson High School as Daffodil Princess

On October 11th Miss Nicole Aqua was selected to represent Wilson High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess during a selection program held at Wilson High School.  Miss Aqua was one of four candidates vying for the title of Daffodil Princess.  Each of the candidates prepared a speech reflecting their thoughts on the 2012 Festival theme “Don’t Stop Believing” and answered an impromptu question. 

Masters of ceremonies for the evening were Mr. Aaron Chantler and Ms. Kristen Orlando. Music for the selection program was provided by John Orlando a 2006 graduate of Wilson High School. Wilson's High School Principal, Dan Besett, presented Ms Aqua with her Tiara. A reception was held following the selection program for the candidates, their escorts and their families.

Farewell remarks were given by 2011 Daffodil Princess Nichele Bunch.  Master of ceremonies for the Evening was Mr. Earle McWright. Washington High School AFJROTC Color Guard presented the colors under the direction of Col. John Pardo. Washington High School Principal Mr. James Hester presented the Tiara to Ms. Talbert.

Entertainment for the selection program was provided by Ars Nova Show Choir under the direction of Despina Alatsis.  Farewell remarks were made by 2011 Daffodil Princess Sophie Williams.  Master of ceremonies for the Evening was Nick Rosato, student at Stadium High School. Her Tiara was presented to Ms. Fry by Princess Sophie Presented Ms Fry with her tiara following the judges selection.

 A farewell message was given from 2011 Daffodil Princess Erin Matthews.  Masters of ceremonies for the evening was Assistant Principal David Lipe. Franklin Pierce High School Jazz Band and Matthew Pelandini provided entertainment for the evening. Ms Jennifer Curtiss served as Princess Coordinator for Franklin Pierce High School. 2011 Princess Erin Matthews presented the Tiara to Ms. Shull.

Miss Delaney Roosendaal Selected Cascade Christian 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess

On October 3rd, 2011 Miss Delaney Roosendaal was selected to represent Cascade Christian High School as their 2012 Daffodil Festival Princess. Miss Roosendaal was one of three candidates vying for the title of Princess. Prior to announcing the 2012 Princess the audience heard from Miss Kelsey Carder, Cascade Christian's 2011 Daffodil Princess. Princess Carder also presented Princess Roosendaal with her tiara.
Following the selection there was a reception held for all participants, their families and escorts.
