The Daffodil Festival is a reciprocating festival, i.e. sending a traveling float to other festivals that participate in our festival.  The Traveling Float is transported by our Daffodil Tractor-Trailer to out-of town festivals to advertise our own annual Daffodil Festival and to thank the other festivals for their participation in our major event. 

The Daffodil Queen and two princesses ride on the Float during these out of town festivals.  The Queen and her court, along with the Traveling Float, carry the story of the King Alfred daffodil and the Daffodil Festival throughout the entire Pacific Northwest and are viewed by more than a million people.
